Lisa has worked at the UI Hospitals and Clinics for 6 years. She works in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU), Bay 1. Her husband’s name is Scott Stevens and they have a daughter, Olivia, who is 2 years old and another baby on the way that is due in July! Lisa exemplifies what excellent nursing care is all about. Not only does she display exceptional ICU skills, but she has a heart of gold that shines through onto all of her patients and their families. A family member once said:
“Lisa was simply a friendly voice and face for my dad and a great support when family wasn’t able to be there. She went above and beyond for both my parents and for that, she is a priceless asset to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.”
Lisa is a diligent worker, a team player, an excellent resource, a remarkable leader, and a true patient & family advocate. She comes to work with a smile on her face, which in contagious throughout the bay. We are lucky to have such an incredible person and nurse working in the SICU!
