Lisa Stevens 2024, RN

I would like to nominate Lisa Stevens, RN, for the DAISY Award for her compassion, empathy, kindness, and hard work. She is compassionate and kind to her patients and knows how to make people feel comfortable in uncomfortable situations. She once told me she could fix blood pressure or someone’s blood sugar, but mental health, she didn’t know how to deal with well. But I can tell you that she absolutely knows how to talk someone down and care for patients who are struggling mentally. She can do both medical and psych, and Lisa has a heart of gold to top it off.

One day I was on the ICU and I had taken a Tylenol and Benadryl overdose. Lisa was my nurse. She made me feel comfortable and safe. My mind was going 100 miles a minute, and I was so overwhelmed, she was so calm with me and took the time to help calm me down. I was scratching my skin, and she put socks on my hands and didn’t let me take my meds with my own hands because she understood I was in a very unsafe and vulnerable spot. Lisa is by far the best nurse I’ve ever had. I trust her with my life, and there is no one else I would want to take care of myself or my loved ones. Lisa Stevens is a true DAISY Nurse.
