You will not find a more deserving nurse than Lisa Strobl. She has been a charge nurse at MCE for approximately 20 years. Lisa is very efficient in making sure that ALL of the surgeons have any extra items that are needed for their cases. We have clinical leaders that watch for these items but if they are out sick or on vacation, etc. Lisa is the one taking care of the situation. She is very dedicated to her job and to her coworkers and especially to the patients.

It is hard to describe all of what she entails during the day because every day is different. One example was on Tuesday, March 28th, 2023. Dr F. had a patient on the table and as they were doing the procedure the scrub tech noticed that the pan of instruments did not have what he needed. They called Lisa and informed her and she immediately started calling other facilities to locate the instruments that he needed. She was able to locate them at 2 facilities and made arrangements to get them ASAP. The instruments were picked up immediately and when Dr. F. got them he was very grateful for the speediness that he received them. This is just one example of the many times that she is taking care of problems in the OR. I know this is part of a charge nurse's duties but when you see Lisa Strobl doing this job every day she takes it very seriously and wants to make sure every patient and employee is treated how she would want to be treated.
