Lisa has had a long and varied career as a Children's nurse. In her current role, she consistently demonstrates excellence as a hospital case manager. In 1987, Lisa started her nursing career at Children's Hospital when it was located on Wisconsin Avenue. During the move to the Wauwatosa campus, she assisted with the transfer of patients to the new building. She worked on the infant floor until 1992, and then worked with the Central Access Team for almost 10 years. In 2005, Lisa moved out of state with her family, but returned to Children's four years later as a nurse in the Endocrine Clinic. She made another change and began working in the Gastroenterology Clinic, and then finally came to the Case Management Department. As a result of all these experiences, she has extensive knowledge of both inpatient and outpatient care coordination.
Lisa is wonderful and fun to be around. She has a relaxed and easy way about her that makes patients and families feel comfortable. She is always kind and respectful of her patients and her peers. She is confident in her work. As a resource, Lisa is invaluable and always modest regarding her contributions.
We are very lucky to have Lisa as a nurse and case manager at Children's.
