Lisa Urquhart, BSN, RN

We had a behavior alert and Lisa Urquhart jumped in to help in a way that I have never seen a nursing supervisor do before. She helped to pull another staff member away from the patient after the patient grabbed a chunk of her hair. Lisa assisted in holding the patient while restraints, unfortunately, had to be applied. She checked on all staff members to make sure they were OK, and she assisted in getting the patient back to bed after she left her room a second time. I really appreciated Lisa’s ability to step in and help. It meant so much to have her in the ‘trenches’ with us and collaborating as a team for the best result. During a stressful situation, it made us feel so much less alone. I really appreciate her calming presence, positive attitude, and teamwork every day.
