May 2019 Honoree
lisa ward 2019, RN
We sit with patients who are fighting for their lives. Whether it's during or after chemo or a transplant, the last resort is a trial. Our patient relapsed and now has a 3rd chance of life. Giving his mental status and strength and his past history our patient has to continue to fight for his life. The awesome care Lisa provided for him today was above and beyond. Our patient woke up this morning craving a Whopper. His trial depends on if he lives or not. Lisa bought him a Whopper for his birthday. This is an act of a good compassion human being and a City of Hope RN.

Lisa is an awesome nurse. She taught me how to give myself shots. She showed my husband how to care for my wound. She was a caring nurse and I loved having her for my last day at the hospital.
