I was at Wellstar Windy Hill in the PCU unit with my uncle who passed away that day. Every person we came in contact with was nothing short of awesome. However, one nurse in particular really stood out to me and has been on my mind since that day. Lissa Watson was so caring and compassionate. She was right by his bed from the moment we got there until the moment we left.

After starting a morphine drip for him and when the vent was removed and until he took his last breath, Mrs. Watson was right by his side and doing everything she could to comfort us and make sure he was comfortable. She stood by his bed checking everything to make sure all was correct and then stood at the foot of his bed massaging his feet until he took his last breath and his heart quit beating. It was very evident that Mrs. Watson is right where she should be. She has found her calling in life and she truly has the heart for her job! I pray that Mrs. Watson knows just how much her caring and compassion meant to our family in this sad place in our lives. She truly knows what compassion is and shows her compassion and caring at all times! Thank you to all nurses in PCU and a very special thank you to Mrs. Watson... we will forever be thankful to have met you! May God Bless and Keep you in His care!
