I want to tell you about a remarkable nurse by the name of Lita Warren, RN. Lita currently works in the Family Birthing Center (MBU) but has previously worked on the Surgical/Ortho floors. On Wednesday morning, Christmas Eve, the staffing office was challenged to staff the 5th floor. Lita was off but we reached out to her for help. Lita immediately called me back and asked what time was she needed and where. She said she was planning to spend the day with her kids and finish her shopping for the holidays but that she was willing to find a sitter and come in ASAP. Lita's cheerfulness and professional attitude was refreshing. She was willing to "serve" at a moment's notice anywhere she was needed. I thank her and applaud her for her dedication not only to her profession but to Maryview Medical Center. HATS OFF to LITA!
