Litzka is an outstanding nurse who goes above and beyond or her patients. Over the last 5 months in the PICU, Litzka has cared for A like he is her own son. They have a special bond and she has earned his trust through the exceptional love and care she gives him. A's father says " Litzka is an extraordinary human being. She loves my son in a way I've never seen anyone else do. The way she takes care of my son makes me feel blessed and grateful. If I could say one thing about her, it is that she is the best". A calls Litzka his "second mom". The relationship they formed is a once in a lifetime bond brought on by the most compassionate and devoted hearts. Litzka deserves to be recognized for the unending love she gives A and his family and for making some very dark days a little brighter for them.
