November 2014 Honoree
liz cioppa, AS
On July 18 I went into preterm labor with my twins at 21 weeks, 4 days. The doctors knew there was nothing they could do to stop the labor. Liz stayed by my side all night and helped comfort me as I prepared for the birth and death of my beautiful little babies. The next morning, July 19, I delivered Nathan and Natalie. Liz stayed almost 3 hours after her shift was over to see me through the delivery of my sweet angels. She had told my mom, who is also a nurse, that she had been called in on her day off to work. I know that she was called in to be with me through this tragic turn of events. She was so amazing. She was just so kind and compassionate. I will forever be grateful that Liz was my nurse that night. Thank you so much Liz!
Thank you, Liz, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
