My first contact with Liz was in the hospital reception area where she greeted me before my procedure. Her kind and caring demeanor were immediately apparent as she calmly answered my initial questions. The experience with Liz only improved from the first meeting. At all times she was friendly, personable, and truly caring, and most important, a sense of humor. I felt so comfortable with her presence and attention that I actually shed a few happy tears in thanks for her kindness. I did not have time to read the book I brought along but Liz ensured I had it with me during several breaks. To see the by my bed upon recovery only demonstrated her attentiveness to my small needs. She even checked back with me before I was discharged to make sure all was well. I felt genuinely cared for by Liz which made the procedure so much easier to endure.

I am a very difficult IV start. These 2 nurses worked as a team to get it started. One nurse was unable to get it started and felt very bad. The second nurse was successful. The compassion and empathy shown by these two nurses deserve to be recognized. I am grateful for their care and concern.
