Liz is a wonderful role model and regularly goes above and beyond to ensure excellent care to her patients. Liz had a very ill patient with poor prognosis, and she made arrangements for him to go down to the hospital's healing garden prior to his surgery to spend time with his beloved dogs. She was able to coordinate with his family so they could bring his dogs to the garden to be with him for the last few moments before surgery. Because of Liz's extreme efforts the patient spent the afternoon with his dogs and felt a sense of happiness one last time before his surgery.
A few days later the family spoke to the staff expressing how meaningful it was to all of them that Liz had given him the opportunity to see his dogs one last time. This really meant so much for the patient and the family. Thank you, Liz, for all you do for our team, patients and families. You are an amazing nurse.
