Liz took the time to connect with me on a personal level before the procedure.
I had to have a D&C surgery to help my body heal after discovering that I’d had a miscarriage. This was our second pregnancy loss. Throughout each experience of pregnancy loss, my husband and I have struggled to feel as though we aren’t just another statistic; especially when it comes to speaking with medical professionals we’ve worked with. It has felt like just another thing they see every day, but I need to say I have the utmost respect for all healthcare workers, as my sister is a family medicine doctor and my brother-in-law an ER resident. However, we’ve been so disappointed to have felt as though we haven’t dealt with significant trauma in our lives. Liz took the time to connect with me on a personal level before the procedure. She shared stories and took the time to treat the situation for what it was. She didn’t have to go out of her way to make the whole experience feel more human and unique. I raved to my family and friends about how much I appreciated her compassion. She is so deserving.
