Liz was the nurse taking care of our mom the 1st four days that she was in ICU. With Mom's age and the severity of injuries, she was in a very critical condition. Liz kept us informed and provided the best care. She walked us through the most difficult hours and was a true advocate for the patient and our family. A question arose as to whether she should be reintubated due to a possible mental status change. Liz had the doctor call us to discuss and get permission. Also, Liz noticed that her unresponsiveness was part of her sleep cycle and she wakes late in the day. We are thankful for her continuity of care and noticing repeating patterns and being an advocate. Mom was not reintubated. Liz is an excellent nurse with great clinical and social skills. She was exactly the person we needed taking care of our family.

When our mom was first admitted Liz took great care of her. She talked to her and calmed her down. She explained what was going on to us. She went above and beyond with her caring, positive attitude to give our mom the best possible care she could have.
