I was admitted in a lot of pain & bleeding rectal. Once I was admitted to my floor Liz was so kind to me. I was worried about the cleansing for the colonoscopy and Liz looked at me so sweet and caring and said “I will be here to help you, we’ll get through it”. She gave me extra clothes and all the items I will need for this. This is an embarrassing part of the test. I can’t tell you how nice it is to have a nurse say don’t worry I will be here to help you. Wow. She moved the room so that my access was easier. She brought extra gowns. There was an issue with getting my IV in, it had to be changed and she was so sweet not to hurt me. People like Liz Murphy make sick people feel so much better and less humiliated. Compassion is a thing we need more of. She definitely made my terrible ordeal, not to mention my being ill, a good stay in Mercy Fairfield.
