Liz provided excellent care and support to a patient who had been admitted for weeks. He is frequently misunderstood because of his condition and spends long hours confined to his room. On this particular day, Liz brought the patient into the hallway and played uplifting music, like the cupid shuffle, and we danced with him. This improved his mood and brought him joy. I know this improved his overall mental health and the stress that comes with being in an unfamiliar place for as long as he has been. Liz prioritized her patient and his needs, which totally exemplified the WakeWay.
