After working in health care for more than 35 years, Nursing was redefined by Ms. Vargas. She is the epitome of what quality nursing should be. Ms. Vargas is what/who every patient should want. Ms. Vargas's warmth and compassion were clearly demonstrated in how she responded to my post-op nausea. She was patient and kind not only to me as her patient but also to my daughter who was obviously concerned for her mother. She took the time to ensure we understood all action taken and articulated clearly to me and my husband, the process of care. She was engaged in hanging drips to administering meds to being assured of our level of comfort physically and emotionally. This exceptional nurse never walked away from my bedside before asking "if there is anything else she could do for me/us". Although I am obviously unaware of your Patient Satisfaction protocols I am certain whatever standards or measures have been implemented, this nurse exceeded them. She is a true DAISY Nurse.
