Lizzie was my nurse during labor. This was my first child so I did not know what to expect. She did everything that she could to make me feel comfortable. She was by my side through it all. She took the time to rub my lower back while I was having contractions. She also held my hand and talked me through them to help me remain calm. Lizzie knew my birth plan. I almost broke down and got an epidural. She did not tell me no but encouraged me not to get it because she knew I did not want it. She acted like my cheerleader while I was pushing. She kept telling me that I could do it that I got this. Lizzie was extremely nice and caring. I may have been asking for a lot but she stayed positive and calm the whole time. She went above and beyond for me while she was expecting herself. After I gave birth she congratulated me and told me my baby was beautiful.
I thanked her so many times and without her, I am not sure if I could have done that. She has impacted me so much that I replay it all back in my head over and over again. She is an Extraordinary Nurse. Best nurse I ever had in any healthcare setting. Her actions make me recommend Women and Babies to other expecting mothers. I will definitely continue to have my children at this hospital. I wish I could see her to thank her one more time. Not only for a great experience but for impacting me to want to be like her.
