I am honored to commend this extraordinary nurse for their compassion, selflessness, and unwavering commitment to patient care—both inside and outside the workplace.

While on their way home after a long shift, Logan George was following a car that swerved off the side of the road. The vehicle hit an embankment, which caused the car to roll over many times. Without hesitation, Logan pulled over and rushed to assist the injured individual. In a moment when many might feel uncertain or overwhelmed, Logan relied on their training, instincts, and a deep sense of responsibility to provide immediate care and comfort.

He assessed the situation quickly, ensured the injured person’s safety, and offered critical support until emergency responders arrived. Beyond the clinical care, they brought calm to a chaotic and frightening situation, reassuring the patient and remaining by their side when it mattered most. Logan was able to assist another person who stopped to help call 911, relaying the information needed to the dispatcher, even saying, “trauma alert”.

This act exemplifies what it truly means to be a nurse. It goes beyond duty, beyond scheduled hours, and beyond expectations. It reflects a genuine calling to care for others, no matter the time or place.

Logan's actions are a powerful reminder that compassion doesn’t end when a shift is done. Their courage and kindness made a meaningful difference in someone’s life during a critical moment.

Thank you, Logan, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
