Somehow Logan managed to help my mom through the night without her calling me or texting me which is unheard of!
So without being too long-winded, my 92-year-old mother is in the Covid unit after having surgery and a colonoscopy bag installed 12 days ago. Although we have had nothing but superb care while here, Logan (last night) went above and beyond to take care of my mother! I am my mom’s caregiver and since the surgery, was getting over Covid myself and had only slept 5 hours from Tuesday morning to Thursday night! My first couple of nurses were awesome but Logan was the best! When Logan came in, he immediately came to our room to introduce himself and asked me about my mother (who had finally gone to sleep after a very uncomfortable day). I had planned to stay with her all night (even though I hadn’t had any sleep) but he insisted that I go get some rest and assured me he would take care of her. I felt extremely guilty going home to sleep knowing that she would panic if she woke up and I wasn’t here - but somehow Logan managed to help her through the night without her calling me or texting me which is unheard of! Then, she woke up when I came in today and told me how nice he was!
I had missed Logan leaving by about 30 minutes and was afraid that I wouldn’t get to thank him. But to my surprise even though he’s not her nurse tonight, he came by to check on her anyway and assured me that I could go home again – that he would make sure he (and her nurse tonight) would take excellent care of her. There’s no way I would go home if he weren’t here tonight and told me that!
I can assure you is that there’s not a better nurse at this facility (and they’re all good from my perspective)! Please acknowledge Logan for his efforts!
