I recently had emergency colon surgery and ended up with a colostomy. I was very concerned about this and while in the ICU healing from surgery, she came to visit me and help me get used to this lifestyle change. Since being discharged from the VA she has stayed in touch and helped me so much with adapting to this lifestyle change. She shows genuine caring and passionate care every time I speak with or see her in person. She has helped me with supplies that I need for everyday care and checks in all the time to see how I am doing. I feel that she deserves this award for all that she does and her amazing care.
