I am a retired Registered Nurse of over 30 years. Loleta Mills was one of my aunt’s nurses. She went above and beyond to take care of my aunt, but also my aunt’s family. My aunt was unexpectedly diagnosed with cancer, and because of how rapidly it had spread, the difficult decision was made to be put on hospice care. She passed away. We appreciate and are thankful for all who were involved in her care. My aunt was a retired RN and, by chance, was the former manager of the unit where she passed away. I also, at one time, was the Hospital Nursing Supervisor for that hospital. My aunt would have been very proud of Loleta for her professional care, attention to detail, and respect she showed to all. I am proud to nominate this nurse for the DAISY Award. She is a great nurse, and I'm very glad my family and I got to meet her during this difficult time.
