Ms. Lora was amazing. She always took time to talk to me and my mother about all of her other health problems, not just my mom’s cancer.
My husband has been in many hospitals, more times than most people. Lora Winders is one of the best nurses. From his first day there, she has been so helpful. My husband cannot talk, so it is important that someone comes into the room when he rings. Ms. Winders was always there to attend to him, answer questions and treat him with loving care. My husband has had cancer on and off from 1995 to the present, so when I see a great nurse, I love it and wish she was here 24/7 for him as she is one of the best RNs around.

Ms. Lora was so kind and compassionate. She answered every question I had. She even printed out information for things I did not understand. When I broke out crying over the news my mother has cancer, a very aggressive kind, she motioned me outside and opened her arms so wide, and hugged me telling me to “let it out” and “it’s okay to cry.” She reassured me my mom was strong enough and this was possible. She talked to me or called me back every time I called up there and gladly gave me an update and answered all questions I had when I couldn’t be up there. Most of the staff were wonderful, but she really went above and beyond. I have never had, nor ever experienced with my mom or kids’ doctors, such gentleness and compassion. Ms. Lora was amazing. She always took time to talk to me and my mother about all of her other health problems, not just my mom’s cancer. She was extremely thorough with everything and never rushed us with anything.
