Loren was nominated for the DAISY award by the husband of a patient. He described Loren’s care as an “amazing gift” for communicating the plan of care to him and to his wife. It was important for this patient to have time with her husband for prayer before the surgery. During the preparations for the surgery, Loren assured that time was set aside for the patient and her husband to pray together quietly.
