My nurse deserves a DAISY Award because she went above and beyond during one of the most stressful and painful times of my life. From the moment I was admitted for my gallbladder surgery, she treated me with compassion, patience, and genuine care. She never made me feel like “just another patient.” She took the time to explain everything, comfort me when I was anxious, and made sure I felt safe and heard every step of the way. What stood out most was the kindness she showed even during the busiest moments. Whether it was checking on my pain, helping me get comfortable, encouraging me when I was scared, or simply speaking to me with warmth and understanding, she made a lasting impact on me and my family. Her compassion truly helped me heal not just physically, but emotionally too. Nurses like her are the reason patients feel cared for and supported during difficult times. I will never forget the comfort and reassurance she gave me, and I believe she is incredibly deserving of recognition through the DAISY Award.
