When my husband was on the Chest Pain Evaluation Unit he was having severe chest and shoulder pain. He became unable to get his breath. Lori came when the stat team was called. She was very professional, kind and caring. Others were somewhat dismissive and suggested it was anxiety. Lori stood for over 30 minutes with a warm pad on my husband's shoulder and her presence was calming to him and me. Later, tests revealed a perforated colon and he had emergency surgery. Six days later he's still at CMC-NorthEast and is recovering. Lori was an angel. She didn't make assumptions on what was wrong, she treated the symptoms my husband had.
