My aunt came to the hospital due to a stroke where she would eventually be moved to D2 in the days to come. Ms. Lori was so kind, caring, and patient with the family and more importantly, my aunt. She always took the time to answer any questions and explained them thoroughly. What I loved most was she took the time to get to know my aunt by asking the family questions, which showed that this wasn't just a job, that she was just as invested during our difficult time. Although my aunt was on a vent and wasn't responding she spoke to her as she was well and awake. My aunt took care of people all her life as a health aide, so to now have to be taken care of she could not have gotten a better person. Ms. Lori was truly a blessing! Ms. Lori even stayed all the way to the end with us, all night way past the end of her shift when they pulled the plug 6 days later, still helping us through the process explaining things and providing hugs and tissues as she had done the entire time at the hospital. I've worked in the medical field for 6 years and I understand the importance of good workers and how hard it is to find them and the compassion and care one must have to do this job, and Ms. Lori is definitely one of those people, so HOLD ON TO HER! I would like her to know it really meant a lot and she helped us get through a difficult time. More than she will ever realize. Many blessings to Ms. Lori, and although there are not enough thank yous in the world to show how much we appreciate you, here's one more- THANK YOU!
