Lori always has her patients' best interests at heart.
Lori precepts many new hires and Nurse Residents and is enthusiastic to share her 25+ years of experience with everyone. Lori is also known to consult with other senior nurses regarding the care of more complex patients in the Emergency Department. Lori supports the I-CARE values by being honest, trustworthy, and making patient-centered decisions based on her collaborative assessment with the health care team. She listens to her patients and cares about their well-being as if they were her own family member. She respects her co-workers, leadership team, patients, and family members. Lori is dedicated to her profession, open to ideas, listens with empathy, and excels to provide great patient outcomes. Lori supports her fellow co-workers by providing a set of hands if needed and going above and beyond to make sure the entire ED staff feels supported. Lori always remembers what it was like to be a new nurse. She is a great support system for our team. She is always eager to train and educate our new nurses by participating in skills training or providing a lecture. Lori always has her patients' best interests at heart. She maintains quality while giving excellent care to her patients and keeping their families informed. In the controlled chaos of the ED, Lori is always cognitive of using evidence-based practices. Lori is never one to deviate from best practices. Lori is always kind, considerate, and respectful to her co-workers, patients, and families. She encourages co-workers to bring new ideas forward and always listens to what people have to say. Lori proves herself to be a role model because she is always calm and confident. She always strives for bigger and better goals. She always perseveres when an obstacle is thrown her way. Lori is an excellent ED nurse, she is Certified in Emergency Nursing, she also took a class in Emergency Nurse Pediatrics to improve her professional development while caring for the pediatric emergency community. Lori is a Trauma Critical Care nurse, an experienced triage nurse, and is well versed in all areas of the ED including charge nurse.
