Our mother was admitted to Grady Hospital. Our mother was an RN for 50 years before she had an accident that left her quadriplegic in 2017. Growing up in the medical field (our father is a pediatrician) we saw many medical personnel. Then in 2017 until the present, we have experienced many wonderful caregivers while taking care of Mom. While at Grady, Lori was her day nurse. We have never seen someone love on and care for our mom while delivering the highest quality of care to our mom. Lori made sure that no matter what her schedule may have been, Mom was her priority and Mom mattered. Mom was not “just a patient” in his eyes. Mom is a person, a former nurse, a mother, grandmother, and no matter what, Mom was the most important person. We have never felt the love and care from anyone else these last 6+ years like we did for the two days from Lori. Lori is a gem and Grady is fortunate to have Lori.
