Lori has had numerous roles in her professional career starting out as a unit secretary and progressing to an RN, then supervisor/coordinator and now as a Director. She is known as a strong patient advocate and there are numerous examples of how she has assisted a homeless individual with resources and helped with patients/families who are traveling through town. She has embodied a strong culture of patient advocacy as demonstrated by her departments work with the homeless shelters, food and clothes drive. Her staff is accepting of all types of patients and provide compassionate care regardless of the circumstances and sometimes difficult demographics.
Lori's Patient Experience scores led the hospital and system last fiscal year with scores that were best in the MBO. She participates and leads various initiatives at the campus and System level. The leadership and accountability for excellence in patient care were demonstrated by Lori's clinical floors and the consistent outcomes she maintained throughout the year.
Leaders are critical components of compassionate patient care and while it is the staff and direct care staff that are the front line, the foundation that supports this is the leaders and Lori has demonstrated these values in her everyday work.
