Lori always goes above and beyond but this specific case demonstrates her commitment. I had a patient who has been in and out of the hospital for non-healing abdominal wounds for months on end. The patient has had a history of drug abuse and we have never been able to get the patient placed at a rehab facility. Miss Lori was able to finally arrange for placement at a drug rehab facility but furthermore, the patient was requesting to have his belongings brought from his house. Lori actually went to the patient's house herself (noted to be in not exactly a safe neighborhood) to get his belongings and not only brought them to the hospital but she also picked up the patient's prescriptions. I want to add that she paid for his medications at the pharmacy herself! There are not many people who would do remotely what she did for this patient - much less all the things she did. She is a pleasure to work with and I am very proud to say I get to work with her on a regular basis. Many people have words but few have actions like this.
