Lori is a nurse that has proven - repeatedly - excellent critical nursing skills. When I'm taking care of a labor patient and her condition changes critically, somehow, Lori is available and preparing the next step before I realize what the next step is!
Lori is very fast and efficient with patient care; she can evaluate/triage, treat, educate and discharge a patient in record time - which helps the unit run much smoother.
Lori always signs up for extra shifts and on-call shifts when needed. She never waits for someone to ask for help. When she has any downtime, she is asking the other nurses if there's something she can do for them.
She is a dedicated team player with a positive attitude and great smile. We are fortunate to have such talent on our unit!
