Lori is not only a spectacular co-worker and peer; she is also a wonderful resource and go to person for help. Lori is willing to pick up extra shifts, help her peers and is able to work very well with complex patient populations. One patient was having an extended stay after surgery requiring continuous antibiotics. The patient expressed interest in straightening out their life and truly wanted help with drug abuse therapy. Lori volunteered and took the patient under her wing and would come in on her time off to accompany this patient to substance abuse meetings-which Lori has done for others.

Lori truly exemplifies the heart of caring and is an exceptional nurse. She is passionate about this patient population which speaks volumes to Lori's core beliefs and holistic care that she provides to patients. She is always willing to share her knowledge with others. She truly makes a difference and positively affects countless lives with her respectful care and dedication. The best part of Lori doing this, she thinks nothing of it. We feel this is something that Lori needs to be recognized for because she has changed this patient's outlook on life as well as helping with achieving a successful future.
