Every night Lori Kramer comes to work she shows enthusiasm for her work. She always has a smile on her face and always greets her patients with kindness.
One night while working in the Step Down unit, Lori showed her patience and kindness while working with a patient with Lou Gehrig’s disease. This particular patient could not speak and could not use his arms. Communication with this patient was difficult. Lori sat down with the patient and took the time to go through communication boards to make this patient more comfortable. Through the night he became anxious with labored breathing and tachycardia. Once Lori entered the room, sat down next to him, and talked with him, the patient began to calm down and his status improved.
Lori has a way of making her patients feel comfortable and cared for. I have heard many patients say how kind Lori is and how much they like her caring for them.
