Lori receives most of the secure messages sent to my primary care doctor. During some of my most difficult situations, Lori has always with respect and compassion. Her response in communicating is always thorough, detailed, and easy to comprehend. This is immensely helpful when in difficult situations. Her knowledge prevents panic and allows me to feel safe that my needs will be met in a very timely manner. I trust the information she provides to always be in my best interest, even if it is contrary to my own thoughts. Recently, I had a bad fall while playing pickleball. After communicating over secure message, Lori advised me that my primary care doctor wanted me to go to Urgent Care. The injury was substantially worse than I had anticipated. The secure message response was so prompt that I was in Urgent care within an hour of my original request. When I need a refill, Lori always responds quickly. I sent a recent request asking the doctor to review a CAT scan of my thyroid, which was done the previous week. I received a response advising me that my doctor felt there were some irregularities and had already communicated with the endocrinologist to set up the appointment for treatment. Although I have outside Blue Cross Federal employees and Medicare, I would not choose any other place to receive medical care other than the VA. It is the best system in the world. I am grateful to all employees, as well as veterans, who support the VA with outside insurance. God Bless America and those who have served and the VA for all they do for veterans. Again, nothing is perfect, but the VA is absolutely phenomenal in the care they provide, especially in the Boston VA Health Care System.
