Lori is a well-respected charge nurse, preceptor, member of the RTU Excellence Council and staff nurse on RTU. She always goes above and beyond her standard work. Peers are constantly providing positive feedback on Lori. She has worked on this unit and HCMC for many years. Her critical thinking skills and knowledge of RTU are invaluable to this organization. She exhibits patient-centered care daily by the way she cares for our patients. I am so thankful to have her as a leader for RTU and Observation Care.
The staff look to Lori as a role model. I have heard staff describe her as "wonderful" and how they "love working for her." I repeatedly hear how they respect her hard work and leadership whether she is working as charge, or in her own patient assignment. She demonstrates her engagement by volunteering for extra projects. She does all of these things while remaining humble.
