Due to difficulty draining the patient’s lung in the lateral position, Lori Palm, with her many years of experience, picked up the patient once he was intubated, and sat him up using her shoulder and remained in this position until the pulmonologist was finished draining all the fluid from the patient’s lung. This is TEAM WORK! The results were remarkable. I participated in this emergency and I was very happy to be a part of a team with experienced nurses that have so much compassion and dedication with the sole objective of saving the patient’s life! Job very well done!
