My daughter, C, goes to Infusion for hydration two times a week. One day we were there when she began to feel strange. Lori came in to check her out and realized she was having a cardiac episode that was critical. Lori immediately called ER to inform them she was bringing them a patient in critical condition. Lori put C in a wheelchair and rushed her to the ER. In the few minutes it took to go across the hall to the ER, C was semi-conscious. Lori stayed with me to make sure C was getting attention before she went back to her department. Lori then came back after she got off work and stayed with me until C was put in the helicopter. C was put on a ventilator and spent 8 days at another hospital because she went into Septic shock.
I'm convinced that if Lori had not acted so quickly and so efficiently, the outcome would have been much different. The doctor said that it was such a close call and if she had presented to the ER even a few minutes later, Carrie may not have survived.
Thank you, Lori Salvador, for being a great and skillful nurse.
