Lori has always shown great compassion for her patients. She, on her own time went to a patient’s home to walk, feed, and bring this patient‘s dog for a visit because the patient had cancer and was dying. This patient’s dog care was the patient’s biggest concern.
Lori also on several occasions has taken great photos for families in the operating room-to preserve memories of cesarean births for families and even organized a “SKYPE” session for the expectant father who was in Afghanistan in the service, so this soldier could “be present” for the birth of his child.
Lori has enhanced her education and received Certified Lactation Consultant, OB Nurse Certification, and training for assessing sexual assault victims.
Lori has received her GEMS award also showing her leadership, growth, community participation, peer support, and excellence as a mentor. She is a member of the Lions Club in the community too!
Lori also assisted in the delivery of a pre-term infant that survived and is doing well due to her critical thinking skills. She is an extraordinary member of the health care team.
Plus she is just enjoyable to work with.
