Lori was nominated for the DAISY award by a patient who wrote:
This lady saved my life last night through every means, not with medicine. I know she's tired. She never sat down. She was in my room at least every 45 minutes rubbing my back. In the last 2 months, I've been through some terrible times and I didn't think I could take any more. Lori stayed with me and listened. She never tried to fix my problems with aspirin. She fixed my problems for real. I knew when Lori said she was coming back, that Lori was coming back. I have been to 22 states and I've never been treated this well before. I will never forget Lori or the care she gave me. She is the reason I am still here writing this. I want to tell her "thank you" very much.
