Lori Von Ende, RN

I nominated Lori Von Ende for the DAISY Lifetime Achievement Award because of the incredible 40+ years that she has dedicated to the field of nursing. Lori is the absolute model of professional excellence. Her years of experience in PACU nursing have built her into a seriously rare and invaluable resource. This strong woman can do it all, and furthermore, she does it with the utmost poise and respect. She has never failed (in the 5 years I've seen her) to give the highest level of quality care to every patient she skillfully recovers from anesthesia. She is the one who catches when something isn't right, and she always knows what needs to be done about that. Lori is retiring now, and she will be extremely missed, both as a resource and as a person.
