Lorie Hogue, RN

I am an RN on E4 ICU. Lorie Hogue is my charge nurse on the weekends. However, during these difficult times I am blessed to have a charge nurse like Lorie. Lorie goes above and beyond consistently to help the staff nurses with anything and everything we may need. One particular weekend we were very short-staffed, pairing patients that should have had a one-to-one nurse-patient ratio. We had no techs, and we were too busy to be able to help each other. Most of us did not receive a lunch break this day, and neither did Lorie. Amid this situation Lorie never complained and never had a bad attitude. Lorie came to the rescue, encouraging us, stocking our carts, helping us in emergency situations, and helping us clean up. I have 15 years of ICU experience and this day was overwhelming to me. I would not have been able to make it without her. Nurses are the backbone of this hospital. Lorie is a true DAISY Nurse. Thank you, Great job, Lorie!
