I was pregnant, as a first-time mom, and I really don’t know what to expect on my labor and delivery day. I went to the hospital when I was struggling in pain due to labor and discovered that I was only 3cm dilated. Got a pain medication and eventually helped me a lot. They put me on Pitocin after that to help me dilate more, and throughout this journey, Nurse Lorinda was there to help me. I was so glad that she was the nurse assigned to me. She took care of me the entire time. At first, I was thinking that it is too embarrassing that someone is cleaning my mess, my butt, my blood, my everything down there because I couldn’t even feel myself especially when I was given an epidural. But, with the help of Lorinda, she didn’t make me feel embarrassed or even shy or any dull emotions. She is so professional and a very thoughtful nurse. I couldn’t imagine myself if it were a different nurse. Being a first-time mom, and having this first-time experience of giving birth gave me a lot of worries, but I guess having the best nurse on your side throughout your journey is a big, big help to wash away all those worries. I can’t thank her enough for the care she gave me, all I wish for her is for her success in her profession, and I hope she gets everything she deserves in her job and in her life.
