Lorraine shows unlimited compassion for all of her patients. She is one of the most patient nurses, and is always willing to spend time sitting with our long-term antepartum patients, listening to them, and helping them cope with the stresses of prolonged hospitalizations, difficult pregnancies, and uncertain outcomes.

She is an excellent active listener. Lorraine remembers and cares about the patient's story, follows their progress, and supports their emotional needs, as well as giving excellent physical care. As an antepartum RN, she connects with individual patients in a most wonderful way. Patients have said they felt like Lorraine inducted them into a caring family circle. Trustworthy and thoroughly accountable, Lorraine causes her patients to relax into a well-cared-for warmth.

Lorraine is often recognized in leader rounding, discharge phone calls, and surveys. She is a valuable asset to our unit, and a boon for her patients.
