Lori has such a calm and sweet demeanor, and all her coworkers frequently say how nice it would be to wake up from surgery and have Lori as your nurse. One patient had to board in the PACU for two nights and one day. This would be difficult for a patient, as there are no walls or windows. Not only did Lori take exemplary care and make this patient comfortable during her time boarding in the PACU, but she also went out of her way to get the patient stuffed animals and a "get well" balloon from the gift shop. Lori makes everyone feel special all the time, whether it is a little note on your workstation, a special treat that you like, or just a giggle during downtime. She is a pleasure to work with, and her patients and coworkers are truly lucky to have her. When this patient left to go to her assigned room, she hugged Lori and said, "I love you." Lori makes a difference in patients’ lives!
