LoToria has been an exemplary student in her clinical and theory classes. I genuinely admire her willingness and the professional attitude she displays even during challenging encounters. In particular, her way of helping her classmates and her respectful demeanor are commendable. Besides being helpful to her classmates, her clinical instructors concur that she is compassionate, caring, and highly dependable when caring for patients. When students are asked to volunteer for a task in the clinical area, LoToria would be one of the first to step forward. With her Medical Assistant background, she assisted in helping her peers with clinical skills. She is also very punctual and diligent in completing clinical assignments.

LoToria now works in an urgent care setting but will start her residency in Neuro at Baptist Hospital in February. Her supervisor at work described her as follows: “LoToria is top-notch as she goes above and beyond. She is very intuitive when it comes to patients’ needs and also the needs of her colleagues. She is exceptional with the pediatric population and the parents have from time to time expressed their love and appreciation for her. She is always respectful, never hurried, and takes the time to listen. In summary, I would say she is a gem”.

Additionally, LoToria is an active participant in the Jersey Alumni meetings. Based on the dedication and commitment shown, along with her passion for patient care, I recommend her for the DAISY Award.
