We had agreed to do chemotherapy in Austin, however, everything was going wrong. In a panic, I reached out to Nurse Lou, the nurse who first met us at MD Anderson. He assured me that we could move the chemotherapy treatment to be done in Houston and he appeared to move heaven and earth to do so. I remember when we got back in Houston, seeing Lou, I started sobbing - after the horrible experience, we had in Austin. I felt assured that my wife would be well looked after. My wife passed away, but I am convinced that MD Anderson gave her the best chance at life that she would have had anywhere.
