Throughout Louis Lesperence's career, he has always shown his passion for healthcare awareness within the Community and the hospital arena.
In 2008, Louis Lesperence's Nursing career began at NYC College of Technology, where he learned the Art and Science of Nursing. In 2012, Mr. Lesperence earned his Associate Degree in Nursing and continued the Nursing program, graduating in 2013 with his BSN.
Mr. Lesperence worked as a contract Nurse administering flu vaccines at health clinics and with the DOH assessing health facility readiness during the Ebola scare. In 2016, Louis joined NYC Health + Hospitals as a Registered Nurse at Cumberland Diagnostic and Treatment Center, working in the Ambulatory Adult Medicine Practice. Mr. Lesperence worked as a depression care/collaborative care Nurse managing patients with chronic disease, and provided care for patients with comorbid conditions, such as mental illness and AIDS.
In 2019, Mr. Lesperence joined the Woodhull family as a Nurse in the Specialty Practice, where he managed patients with acute and chronic diseases such as chronic kidney disease, CHF, neurological issues, and skin disorders. His deployment to the COVID vaccine clinic led to him being one of the lead Nurses that manages the practice. Along with his colleagues, they facilitate vaccination of the community helping halt the spread of the COVID-19 virus. Through it all, Mr. Lesperence has continued to show his ability to go beyond to help make his patients smile and his community healthier.
