Consistently going above and beyond the normal role of nursing, Louis exemplifies extraordinary patient care. Interactions with patients were consistently warm and caring. Innate common sense, the ability to "see the big picture," and an impressively positive outlook made Louis a resource for peers and a joy to have in clinical.

His willingness to help others is definitely extraordinary. He regularly took that extra moment to make patients and families feel special. For example, on a "crazy busy day" while 3 discharged patients were waiting for transport to arrive, this Honoree, realizing that transport for his patient was not coming anytime soon said, "You know what? I'm just going to take him down to the car." The patient and family member were thrilled.

Lastly, at the final preceptorship meeting, his preceptor reported, "He is the best student I have ever precepted. We need to get him hired on this floor."
