It is truly a privilege to have Louisa Anastasiou as a nurse on 8 center. She is an amazing nurse and truly an asset to our team. She started out as a nurse tech on the unit and has been a nurse with us for the last 2 years. She is well liked by her peers and always goes the extra mile for her patients. Louisa is the difference between care and caring. She is often seen caring for and connecting with her patients by sharing personal stories with them, exchanging jokes, or catching up on current events after her work tasks are complete. Louisa believes in a holistic approach to providing care to her patients and involving them in care planning. Louisa has a love of helping people and she says that it is the patients that motivate her to continue learning and growing in the nursing profession. Louisa has been described by her patients as "caring" "kind" and "a special nurse that has been given the gift of caring for the sick in a great way and making an awful experience bearable." One of Louisa's coworkers, when asked to describe Louisa, stated that "Louisa is always, without fail, a pleasure to be around.
